The Map Collector magazine was founded by Ronald Vere Tooley in 1977. Over the next two decades it built a reputation as a highly respected resource on the history of cartography and collecting antique maps. Each issue contains a wealth of information written by the most respected researchers, collectors and dealers. These ten issues cover such subjects as Scotland's first Sea Atlas, the mythical locations of Paradise, fictitious islands in Lake Superior, heraldry in maps, and many more great articles. Included with the set is the Index, which provides a great reference tool. A few tiny ink marks, else fine.
