Handsome map of the continents with CALIFORNIA AS AN ISLAND. The Great Lakes are shown open-ended in the west and the Colorado River emanates from a large inland lake. In South America there is a large lake in Guiana and the Uruguay River, here called the 'Paraguay', appears much larger than the Amazon. The 'Insulae Solomis' are prominent in the Pacific with 'Quiri Regio' partially outlined. Title cartouche includes explorers and cherubs using navigation instruments. Ref: McLaughlin #168. Fine, crisp impression. $550 RESERVE
