The chart is rather unique since it depicts inland rather than coastal waterways although both do flow into an ocean bay. On the left is Petaluma City on Petaluma Creek. On the right is Napa City with Napa Creek flowing south past and between Mare Island and Vallejo (shown in a large inset at bottom center). Soundings appear in each stream all the way to each city. Triangulation and topography is by Rodgers and Fairfield under command of USN Commander James Alden. This noteworthy and quite attractive chart contains the eagle seal, compasses, tide table, soundings, and a few notes. Faint, thin browning along fold lines as usual with a couple small intersection splits repaired on back with archival tape. Image is strong, clear and otherwise clean.
