Original MANUSCRIPT map of the continent depicting the political divisions, rivers, and capital cities of each country. The title is in beautiful calligraphy attributing its origin to Standard Hill Academy, Midsummer 1852. The map is finely drawn in ink and hand-colored with water color. There is a later pencil notation locating Sebastopol with a fleet of ships in the Black Sea. There are also pencil drawing in the margin (probably by a child) of horses. A very interesting and unusual piece.
