A fabulous engraving of a compass rose showing the 32 compass points. Surrounding the rose are 32 wind heads that represent various races of mankind, as well as the four seasons. Each of the points is named in six languages. Exquisite old color. Short separation of fold and 4" tear into image, both invisably repaired.
