Interesting twin hemisphere map with the ISLAND OF CALIFORNIA, huge southern continent and no trace yet of Australia. The sea is stipple engraved. Title in strapwork panel at top and the map is surrounded with simple engravings of the sun and moon at top and allegorical representations of the elements at bottom. On fine laid paper with a watermark of the German coat of arms. Not listed in Shirley. Some spotting in margins, well away from the map.
