Interesting map of the North Atlantic with the parts of the European, African and American continents shown. The sea routes from the British Isles through the Azores to Plymouth are depicted. Oddly the name Virginia is applied to what is present-day Massachusetts as well as the Chesapeake Bay area. The large title cartouche is surrounded by a fabulous scene of the Pilgrims landing at Plymouth rock and being welcomed by Native Americans. A fine crisp impression with a printer's ink smudge in top neatline.
