Splendid map of Europe in ancient times based on the Ortelius map of the same title. Based on classical sources such as Salustius, Plinius, Herodotus, Strabo and Dionysius. Strapwork title cartouche and scale of miles, a sailing ship and a sea monster decorate the map. Very attractive original color. A little creasing from mis-folding and one minor abrasion, overall fine.
