A fine map of this historic region with many ancient place names. The map is decorated with a fine title cartouche, a distance scale surrounded by cherubs, and three ships sailing in the North Sea, which is further embellished with a fine compass rose and rhumb lines. Lovely original color with some oxidation of the green color, resulting in a crack in the distance scale. Minor toning and light spots with a couple of short tears in margin.
