A large vellum sheet with numerous illuminated initials in red, blue and gold ink on both sides. The book of hours served as a devotional work containing various prayers and meditations appropriate to seasons, months, days of the week, and hours of the day. The Latin text is surrounded by engraved scenes and one side includes a fully illuminated miniature of a saint reading the scriptures with a wild boar at his feet. The verso includes uncolored scenes, including one of an army of knights beleaguering a town.
