Very large, graphic celestial chart depicting the North equatorial pole to 38 deg. S dec. This is a reissue of Johann Elert Bode's map dated 1787 and published by Schraembl in 1800. J.E. Bode who was a self taught astronomer and served as director of the astronomical observatory of the Berlin Academy of Science for nearly 40 years. On a very heavy sheet of paper with vivid later color. Ref: Warner, p. 37.
