A scarce Austrian map of the Western Hemisphere based on D'Anville. The attractive composition is well balanced with insets in three corners and a decorative title cartouche. Insets include: a map depicting Cook's discoveries in Alaska; Hudson Bay and Baffin Bay; and a very large map of the United States. The U.S. map depicts the original 13 states with four unnamed western territories, and the western boundary on the Mississippi. Von Reilly was a Viennese art dealer and map publisher who assembled three atlases between 1789-99. $2,000 RESERVE
