Very decorative map of Peru and parts of Equador and northern Chile. Dense with place names and topographical detail. The map is oriented with north to the left although the compass rose incorrectly depicts north at top. Lavishly decorated title cartouche has natives, fauna (llama, armadillo, snake and lizard) and a horn of plenty. Ornamental distance scale in lower right with mermaids and flags. Masted ships, sea monster and compass rose in the sea. Reduced copy of title page included.
