This is a very uncommon map based on the map of Fielding Lucas and is from the French edition of Carey's American Pocket atlas. The state is divided into counties and although published in 1825 the map does not show Davidson County, which had been created out of Rowan County in 1822. It also shows the topography and road network. This map is not surrounded by text, as is the case with the more common Buchon maps. Centerfold has been reinforced with Japanese tissue.
