Two maps one sheet, one above the other, charting the course of the Rhine River. Beginning on the top map, from its spring at the Bodensee in Switzerland, through the eastern part of Germany and transitioning to the bottom map with its course through western Germany, the Netherlands, and flowing into the North Sea. The upper map has a decorative title cartouche with four figures and the bottom map contains a distance scale cartouche flanked by two cherubs with tiny ships sailing in the sea.
