One of four maps of the Burgundy region included in the Theatrum. This one features the Dukedom of Burgundy, which is present day Cote d'Or with its fabulous vineyards. The major cities shown are Dijon, Auturi, Chalon-sur-Saone and Montbard. Large strapwork title cartouche and scale of miles with an ornate border make this a very handsome map. Latin text on verso from the 1592 edition.

Original color with a bit of offsetting and a tiny crack in the paper caused by oxidized color.
