Copper engraved map of the region surrounding Salzburg with north oriented to the right. The mountainous topography is graphically shown and the map is richly decorated with three elaborate cartouches. This is Ortelius' second map of the region which replaced the first plate in either 1592 or 1595. This map is from an edition published between 1595 and 1609 with the page number 64 and Latin text on verso, which includes a hand colored initial.

Fine impression and lovely color. Couple of old repairs of tiny marginal tears, all well away from the map, overall fine.
