Very early example of cartoon art, printed in full color one one side. It consists of a series of scenes with text below each panel, which tells a moral story. They were printed for the Humoristic Publishing Co., Kansas City, MO, ca. 1860, possibly for distribution at Suday schools. They provide a fascinating view od mid-19th century moral views. A strange story of a ships adventures including being attacked by Indians, discovering a cache of gold and mutiny. The moral being that good always triumphs over evil. Paper is a bit fragile as they are printed on early newsprint, but unblemished with bright colors.
