Steel engraved chart of the moon based on the work of J. Heinrich von Madler and Wilhelm Beer who together published Mappa Selenographia in 1836. This work provided the most accurate chart of the moon's surface and determined that the moon had neither water nor air. It served as the standard reference until the middle of the 19th century, when photography was born. This chart is very detailed and surrounded by numbered keys to the chart.
