Splendid map of Andulsia with Seville at center. Off the coast of Cadiz is the depiction of a sea battle between sailing and galley ships and the sea is filled with monsters. The map is beautifully engraved with mountains, forests and castles with each corner including a strapwork cartouche or compass rose. The map is based on Geronimo de Chaves' lost manuscript map. State 1 of the plate with Latin text on verso.
