Lovely vellum leaf printed on both sides with Gothic textura type. The recto is the opening page of Matins in the Hours of the Holy Spirit. It features an oval engraving with the Virgin Mary, an angel and a dove representing the Holy Spirit. Below is the Latin text, "Domine labia mea aperies" (Lord, open thou my lips) with a 3-line illuminated initial and two smaller ones. The verso text, which includes seven decorative initials, is surrounded by elaborate scenes. The iron engravings are fully colored.
