This book tells the strange tales of seven lands which were reported to been seen by sailors in the North Atlantic. Vague accounts of land sightings were at times coupled with an ancient seafaring legend, thus creating a charted island. Errors were often copied, and may islands of legend were thoroughly documented and shown on maps during the Middle Ages, where they remained well into the 17th century. First edition.
