Large, dramatic bird's eye view from this famous CIVIL WAR publication. Richmond is shown at the heart of the view with the enfolding military camps and battlefields in the foreground. Clouds of smoke billow from the artillery sites, supply wagons are shown on the bridges, and infantry and cavalry fill the scene. Two-color lithograph, linen backed, with script titles.

Some creases and soil in margins and a slight area of foxing at right, otherwise very good. Paper label of bookseller pasted over Bachmann's imprint.
