Impressive map of the Persian Empire filled with mountains, rivers lakes, and villages Large strapwork title and scale of miles cartouches with splendid original color, highlighted in gold. French text on verso. Color is slightly oxidized and there is a small, old manuscript brown ink notation written in the region of Northern Iraq.

Couple of unobtrusive printer's creases. Tear in top margin and old paper patch in bottom margin on the recto.
