Italian edition of this attractive copper engraved map on a north polar projection. CALIFORNIA IS SHOWN AS AN ISLAND and the Pacific region is completely blank. Good detail in Europe and Asia, with even the Great Wall of China shown. Whereas, there is little detail in North America except for a rendition of Lahotan's ideas of a river and lake system connecting with the Mississippi River. Ribbon style title cartouche.
