Both are hand colored folding maps on light paper and measuring approximately 26" x 36". Each has incredible detail on a sale of 1:600. The former is colored by additions with the Original Town dominating the center of the map. Cow Creek runs through the original town, while to the south, the Arkansas River dominates. Numerous landholders are named and their properties identified. The later has a large vignette of St. Johns Military Institute and a plat of Kansas Wesleyan University. Railroads, rivers, additions and other names of many prominent landholders are shown.

The later has a few printers creases and a small chip at the edge of left centerfold, not affecting the printed surface. Both with library stamp on verso.
