Beautifully engraved and based on Ortelius' map of ancient Germany. The region covered takes in all of central Europe from Belgium and France through Poland, to include northern Italy and Hungary. It is richly engraved and features three large strapwork cartouches. The towns and cities from the time of Charles the Great are in the legend in the lower left and especially marked on the map.

Very good condition with a very unobtrusive light discoloration at center.
