Striking map of the Loure River valley with Tours near center. Compiled from cartographic information from Bougereau's "Theatre Francois" in 1594. Two large strapwork cartouches and distance scale decorate the map, which is beautifully engraved with forests, rivers, cities and villages.

References: Van den Broecke #42.

Condition: C

Toning along centerfold and light damp stain at top which has weakened paper. Several tears in this area, most not entering map, with old repairs that should be professionally replaced. Still a visually presentable and attractive example.
