An attractive and detailed map of the French Alps including Lake Geneva. It is beautifully engraved with mountains, forests and villages and includes a nice compass rose. The pictorial title cartouche features an interesting hunting scene. The map, based on the cartography of Guillaume Delisle, is from the uncommon Italian edition of Thomas Salmon's work "Modern History."
