This atlas records France's history through a series of maps depicting the country at various periods. Finely engraved frontispiece and 59 maps, including two large folding maps. The maps depict both the whole county and various divisions with variations in color. One map covers Europe, Africa and part of America and shows the French colonies throughout the world. Each map is surrounded in a rococo style border with a decorative title cartouche.

All maps very good or fine, except folding map in rear which has some marginal tears. Paper covered boards. Binding is sound but very rough and need recovering, contents very good.
