Fine, decorative map of the western part of South America and part of Central America. It stretches from Costa Rica to northern Chili and illustrates the travels of Franciscus Pizarrus (Pizarro) and Didacus Almagrus from Panama to Peru in the year 1526. The large pictorial cartouche shows Pizarro landing in Peru. Still bound into the book that also includes 35 double-page fascinating engravings illustrating the conquest of the Inca people.
