This is the first volume of the revised edition covering from A to D. It has more than doubled the size of the original reference work with biographical information on mapmakers. It also includes references to others, such as artists, draughtsmen and engravers. Contains illustrations including portraits, examples of work and publication details. Hardbound in red buckram with title in gilt, 408 pages, dj. Like new, very minor scuffing & crease on dj. Errata slip inserted at pages 274/275.
