Large, handsome map of the Americas including the discoveries of Captain Cook in Alaska and Hawaii. To the right is a column of French text providing information on the political divisions and history of the nations throughout the hemisphere. The thirteen original states are numbered with additional notes concerning the creation of the new states of Maine, Vermont, Kentucky, Tennessee, Ohio, and the territories of Mississippi, Nord-Ouest and Nlle Orleans. It also mentions the new capital at Washington D.C.
