An interesting pair of railroad maps. First (14 x 7") is a French map, circa 1869 with some hand coloring to show the proposed transcontinental railroads - central and southern lines. The second map by George Cram, 1883 (11 x 9"), printed color, illustrates an Act of Congress that reduced 52 standard railway times to five national time zones.
