Original Monochrome on gouache. Birds-eye-view of the island chain, lagoon and reef system with war ships. Numerous war ships are seen in the distance outside the reef. A very nicely rendered original drawing that was produced for the Feb. 26, 1944 edition of the Illustrated London News.
