Large cross-section views of two sailing ships in great detail. Finely engraved with detail right down to individual planks. Interior view of all holds including examples of cargo, mast steps, keel and ballast detail, sleeping quarters, windlass detail, ladders, and more. The upper cross-section is of a sleek cargo runner and the other of a deep-hulled three master. Drawn by Goussier and engraved by Benard. A terrific engraving.
