Nice pair of Railroad items. First is a hand colored wood engraved view from the Illustrated London News, 1861. The dramatic night scene shows a train traveling across the prairie with a fire covering the entire horizon. It is accompanied by a $1000 railroad bond issued in 1880. It has a fine vignette of trains, settlers and Indians and all but two of the coupons.
