This small atlas was designed to illustrate the world described in Greek and Latin classics and the Old Testament. Contains 29 fine copper engraved maps of Europe and parts of Asia and Africa. The preface explains the purpose of the book and notes that "these maps being engrav'd by a foreigner, some of the places retain the French terminations, many of which have been rectified, though it was too late to mend them all." The maps are all very crisply engraved and most contain decorative cartouches. Complete per table of contents.
