Beautifully engraved map of the English colonies from Pennsylvania through Maine with their early boundaries. Fully engraved with topographical features. The colonies are shown confined east of the Appalachian Mountains, with the "Nations Iroquoises", Indian villages and several French forts located west of the mountains. Decorative cartouche in the flourishing French style.

Condition: A
Red library stamp in margin, just entering platemark, but 3/16" outside neatline, so it could be hidden in framing. Otherwise very fine with a superb impression.
