Jean Lattre's fine engraving style is evident on this map covering the Gulf of Mexico, Central America, northern South America and all of the islands of the West Indies, including the names of some very small ones. Great coastal detail. Lovely garland style title cartouche, a fleur-de-lys, and rhumb lines make this a very attractive chart.
