Beautifully engraved and colored with decorative cartouche, dated 1663. All counties are named and boldly colored in outline. Shows several landmasses north and northwest of the British Isles, all unnamed save for Thule I. Includes all of Asia with Japan labeled Labady I., The Philippines are Sabadibae Insulae, Java is Sindae Insulae and Sumatra is called Bonae Fortunae I. A fascinating and handsome map.
