Decorative map of the western part of Africa extending from present-day Senegal to Angola. The interior is beautifully engraved with mountains and rivers, many still spurious, and place names. Two very decorative cartouches at bottom with explorers, natives, putti, animals and Neptune. Eight ships sail in the Gulf of Guinea and several indigenous animals are shown throughout the interior.

Some small stains throughout and a couple of short tears in top, closed with archival tape.
