Full year bound into one volume. Profusely illustrated with hundreds of beautiful wood engravings and maps of the Civil War, city views and life in the cities, many full-page and some double-page. Of special interest are the issues relating to President's Lincoln's Inauguration, the beginning of the Civil War at Fort Sumter, the Battle of Bull Run, Wilson's Creek, etc. All 20 Winslow Homer wood engravings are present. All pages look to be present, but a page count was not undertaken. A terrific piece of history from the first year of Civil War. Marbled boards, green leather spine with title in gilt and leather corners.
