Hand colored folding map of this central Kansas city on the Arkansas River. Likely the finest map of the city ever made, colored by 'additions' with the original plat in a muted yellow. Incredible detail south to Bear Lake Park and north to the College Addition at Wisler Street. The railroad influence is clear with numerous lines and buildings noted. In the Southeast section of the town is the State Reformatory, represented by a forbidding looking building.
