A handsome map depicting from the North Pole to the Equator with good detail, and showing all the political divisions. The Ottens Brothers copied this map from Delisle’s map of 1714 (see previous lot) with updates in northern Asia. The Northwest coast of North America is completely blank above California. A panel of text (French and German) has been added at right describing recent explorations in Kamchatka. Map size including side text is 17.7 x 23.8".
