Five hand colored, copper engravings from a German Kupfer Bible. Kupfer is German for copper and the name is derived from the numerous copper engravings of cosmography, paleontology, zoology, botany, anatomy and other subjects related to natural history that were included. These five plates are all of various type of snakes.
