Contains 31 maps on 18 sheets including a nice map of Texas, a large double-page map of the United States showing the territorial Southwest and Gold Regions of California, and an interesting map of the ante-bellum South that names Tennessee and Arkansas as 'Western States.' Printed paperboards with leather spine.

Binding scuffed and rubbed, chipped spine. Various pencil notations from the student, none on recto of maps. A few splits or tears. Most maps toned. Marginal insect damage to lower margin in last few maps, well away from image.
