This is an account and journal by Albericus Vespuccius, translated from the contemporary Flemish by C. H. Coote and is interleaved with the original Flemish on opposite pages to the translation. Coote's introduction provides a good historical overview. Vespuccius sailed around Africa, describing Guinea, Delogoa Bay, Arabia, India, and Cochin where the Portuguese had established a settlement. First edition in English, limited edition of 250 copies, this being #70. Introduction by Coote (xvii), 56 pp, 10 illustrations from original woodcuts.
