Two fine reference books on bird illustration. Maureen Lambourne is the great-great granddaughter of John Gould and brings a personal, as well as authoritative, perspective to the subject. Both books are fully illustrated in color and are beautiful coffee-table books and good references for the collector. First is the first American edition, 239 pp including index and bibliography. Hardbound in red cloth and illustrated dustjacket. Second is the first edition,192 pp including a brief chapter on collecting. Hardcover in blue cloth with illustrated dustjacket.
