Reproduction of 20 maps from "The United States Gazatteer" and "The New and Universal Gazetteer" published respectively in 1795 and 1800 by Joseph Scott of Philadelphia. Scott's gazatteer of 1795 was the first gazetteer published in the United States. The maps include some of the most important early maps of the new "western" territories. Reproduced from copies held by the Western Reserve Historical Society and the Cleveland Public Library. B&W on cream colored paper. Hardbound.
